Our Educational Philosophy
At Desperado Orchestra, we believe that music education is vital for personal and cultural growth. Our teaching philosophy centers around the idea that music is a universal language that connects us all. Desperado Orchestra Music Education (DOME) promotes multiculturalism by teaching by teaching music from around the US and the world. DOME uses various techniques of incorporating kinesthetic, audio and visual learning skills to help build a strong musical foundation for all students of different skill levels. We offer personalized instruction in piano, violin, guitar, and drums. Our goal is to inspire creativity and a love for music in every student, helping them to express themselves through this beautiful art form.
Megan Fong is also a teacher for the Kaua’i ‘Ōpio and Keiki Orchestra. This is a community outreach program specifically to support music education on the island of Kaua’i. For more information visit www.kauaikeikiorch.org
